Although it is important to determine a child's specific mineral content and metal toxicities through a hair tissue mineral analysis, there are several basic nutritional concepts that can be applied to most children.
In my opinion, every parent should give his/her child:
- One Basic Multiple Vitamin and Mineral that doesn't contain copper
- Usually a probiotic and digestive enzymes to address the gut
- 50 mg Vitamin B6 in the P5P + Magnesium form
- 100 - 1000mg of Vitamin C.
Give as much to your child in divided doses without causing loose stools
- 500 - 1000mg Calcium
- Flax Seed Oil
I cannot stress enough the importance of choosing a good product. Most healthcare professionals have researched different companies and products and should be trusted with their recommendations. I always look for products that are hypoallergenic and do not contain casein, gluten, soy, wheat, corn, milk, sucrose, artificial color, flavorings, preservatives, or yeast.

Dimethylglycine (DMG) is an important non-toxic supplement and can come in a liquid form. Giving 800mcg of folinic acid along with DMG will often prevent hyperactivity. DMG does double duty in providing the brain with valuable and important amino acids, and also helps raise the efficiency of the immune system.
TMG (trimethylglycine) may be more tolerable for some children or either DMG or TMG will work. It is based on the individual child. What works for one may not work for another.
