How the Test is conducted
In the privacy of your home, you will prepare for the GI panel and collect 3 stool samples and 2 saliva samples. These samples will be sent directly to the lab with the self-addressed box that you initial received. The results will be sent to Dr. Akin for review and then mailed back to you. Once you receive the results, a consultation will be scheduled.
A GI panel is best used in conjunction with a hair analysis. The reason for this is that optimal mineral levels are needed to correct digestive imbalances. Additionally, heavy metals interfere with the body's ability to heal and rebalance gut immunity. The results of both tests give a more complete picture of what is needed to improve your health.
